FleXtend® is a patented Orthotic exercise system that provides relief from the symptoms associated with carpal tunnel syndrome, repetitive strain injuries and epicondylitis. It does this by correcting the imbalance between the two groups of muscles in your hands and forearms. In the hand these muscles are the Flexors, that close the hand and the Extensors that open it. These are opposing muscle groups that are located on top and beneath the fingers, when the hand is viewed palm down. The Flexor (closing) muscles become overly developed because they are constantly used to grip and click while the Extensor (opening) muscles are relatively underused so they do not develop the same degree of muscular strength. This causes the imbalance. This influences the resting position of your fingers as (in relative terms) the overly developed and stronger Flexor muscles pull against the weaker Extensor muscles more than they should and so the fingers of the hand tend to claw; pain and numbness can then be experienced, due to the pressure this puts on nerves and blood vessels.

FleXtend® I: Is a single glove in which you have the choice of: size, left and right-handed.

FleXtend® II: This combination is a pair of FleXtend® Orthotic Gloves for those wishing, or advised by their physician, to exercise both hands. It saves $24 compared to buying them separately.

Download the following files: Medical Reimbursement Information and print out the FleXtend® Clinical Product Information and FleXtend® Medical Necessity Certificate then take them both to your doctor or therapist and if they approve, ask them to sign the certification and forward both to your medical insurer for purchase reimbursement, subject to acceptance, health insurer and State.

IMPORTANT: If you are dependent on reimbursement to pay for this system then do not purchase until you have obtained pre-approval for medical necessity reimbursement. Download the forms and take them to your doctor or therapist so as to obtain your medical insurance providers approval ahead of your purchase. They may purchase from us on your behalf and have us ship directly to you.

If you decide to purchase anyway then have your doctor sign the medical necessity certificate and then mail that, the product information and your receipt to your medical insurer.
